What photography services do you offer?
Thank you for considering us for your photography needs! We specialize in love stories (couples, families, and self-love). We also capture special events (private proposals, elopements, and courthouse weddings only).
Due to our full time jobs as educators, we're focusing on specific aspects of our craft at this time and will not be booking full-service weddings, private parties or events, graduation, maternity, or newborn photos. If you are unsure about your session type, please send us a message. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to capturing moments with you in the future.
What's included in a package?
Every package will vary in the number of deliverables, but all packages will include an online gallery of fully edited high-resolution images and behind the scenes iPhone video clips.
What's the retainer fee?
The retainer is 50% of your package price. It's like a deposit, so it will be subtracted from your remaining balance. The retainer fee secures your booking. Without it, your session is not confirmed and subject to cancellation.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
As full-time educators with a busy schedule, we hope that you are mindful of our time, but we also understand that life happens. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs, but please take note of our contract agreement below.
Rescheduling by Client: Client may submit a request to reschedule the event/session at least 3 days prior to the original date. A rescheduling fee of $50 will apply, subject to availability of Photographers. If Client needs to reschedule after the grace period, rescheduling will be subject to Photographer's availability and may incur a $100 fee.
Cancellation by Client: In the event of cancellation by Client, the 50% retainer fee is non-refundable with no exceptions. If the Client has already paid the remaining balance in full at the time of cancellation, no refunds shall be issued for the amount paid. The full remaining balance shall be retained by Photographers as compensation for the reserved session date and time.
Rescheduling or Cancellation by Photographers: In the unlikely event that Photographers need to reschedule or cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or emergency, Photographers shall make reasonable efforts to reschedule the session or provide a suitable replacement photographer. If neither option is feasible, all monies paid by Client will be processed for a full refund within 5 business days, and Photographers shall have no further liability.
What is your late arrival/no-show policy?
Please respect our time, and we promise to make the most out of every minute of your session. Please see below for our contract terms for late arrivals and no-shows.
Scheduled Time: Client agrees to arrive at the designated location at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow for setup and preparation.
Impact of Late Arrivals: If Client is late, the duration of the photo session may be shortened accordingly. For example, if Client is 10 minutes late for a 30 minute session, Client will only be allotted the remaining 20 minutes of time. Client acknowledges that Photographers may not be able to accommodate extra time due to other scheduled bookings. Client may receive a lower number of delivered images if there is less time in the scheduled session. Any lost time due to late arrival will not be compensated or added to the end of the session. In the event of significant delays or missed appointments, Photographers reserves the right to reschedule the photo session for another date and time, subject to availability. Client has the option to pay the rescheduling fee of $100 or pay overtime charges if Photographers are available to extend session.
No-Shows: Failure to arrive for the scheduled photo session without prior notice will be considered a no-show. In such cases, Client forfeits any retainer fees, deposits, and all payments made for the session.
Communication: Both parties agree to maintain open communication regarding any delays or unexpected circumstances that may affect the timing of the photo session. Client shall promptly notify Photographer of any anticipated delays to allow for necessary adjustments.
Are there any additional fees or add-on options when booking?
Permits and Studio Rentals: If the session requires permits for location shoots or studio rentals, Client shall be responsible for obtaining and covering the costs of such permits and rentals. Client agrees to inform Photographers of any permit requirements or studio rental arrangements in advance of the session. Any fees associated with permits or studio rentals shall be reimbursed to Photographers by Client.
Travel Expenses: If the session requires travel beyond Orange County or Riverside, a travel fee will be added to the remaining balance.
Overtime Charges: If the session exceeds the agreed-upon duration specified in the contract, additional time fees may be charged to remaining balance for each additional hour or portion thereof.
Additional Time: Clients may request additional session time increments of $250 for 30 minutes or $500 for 60 minutes.
Same Day Previews: Clients may request to preview 5 photos within the same day for an additional $30 fee.
Expedited Delivery: Clients may request expedited delivery within 5 days of the session for an additional $100 fee.
Fees for such additional services shall be agreed upon by both parties prior to implementation.
Are you available for travel?
We would LOVE TO, if our schedule allows it!
Since we have full-time jobs in education, we would preferably coordinate sessions that require travel during a school break. We're happy to discuss this further! Send us a message!
I'm awkward in front of the camera. Can you help with that?
OF COURSE!!! Do not worry or stress if you've never done a shoot or rarely take photos. That's what we're here for! Think of us as your directors during the session-- we will talk and walk you through it. We'll even demonstrate poses if you're a visual learner :)
Once you're all warmed up, you won't even think about feeling awkward!
How do we decide on a concept, location, outfits, and props?
Before your session, we are happy to consult on details for your shoot. We can recommend locations and outfit ideas! We highly encourage choosing a location that has meaning to you (a place where you had a first date, your favorite date day/night-- like a picnic at the park, coffee shop, hiking trail, beach, etc.) It will make your photos feel more personal and meaningful.
For clothing, we always recommend comfort as a priority. Since we like to incorporate movement in our sessions, we want to make sure your outfit doesn't restrict you! Send us your mood board, Pinterest boards, and inspo pics!
How far in advance should I book a session? What is the turnaround time for photos?
For regular sessions, you can inquire and book any available date from our calendar. For special events (private proposals, elopements, and courthouse weddings), please try to book 4-6 weeks away from your event so we have ample time to work out the details!
The turnaround time for delivery is 2-3 weeks :)
Please keep in mind that image processing, editing, and delivery do not take place if you have any outstanding balances on your account. Please settle your payments in full to avoid any delays!
Do you send RAW images? Do you offer retouching in the editing process?
We do not send RAW images. We select your best photos for the gallery. They will all be edited to our aesthetic, with a focus on the lighting and color grading. We do not do retouching services to your face, body, or any other elements in the photo.
